Toni lives at Kinnagoe Bay with her husband, David, and has worked professionally as a teacher, lecturer and social worker. Toni has been a member of the mica subgroup of the Inishowen Family Action Network, providing supports to families affected by defective concrete blocks. Toni is passionate about preserving the beauty of the local area and has been active on environmental issues at local and national level. She recognises the challenges facing farming families and will work hard to support them. She will also work hard to deliver more social and affordable housing to the area. Toni became politically active during the civil rights movement in the 1960s. She was the first co-ordinator of the Northern Ireland Women’s Aid Federation and was a founder of Derry Well Woman in 1988.
