Standing up for Ireland
Tommy Guilfoyle
Clare County Council
Ennis
I live in Clarecastle with my wife and family and am currently employed as a postal worker. Clarecastle and Ennis are wonderful places to live, work and visit, but I believe that we can make them even better by working together.
An officer and coach with Clarecastle GAA Club, I am also active in the Clare Council of Trade Unions and the Congress Information and Opportunity Centre. I also volunteer with the Clare International Brigades Commemorative Collective and the Francis Street Alliance.
I am a Trade Unionist and campaign for better workers’ rights and livelihoods. I am the Trade Union member on the Council’s Social Development SPC, where I advocate for more housing, improved facilities, and increased services in our community.
A councillor is the peoples’ delegate and should always maintain and respect that responsibility.
