Standing up for Ireland
Tom Healy
Galway County Council
Conamara North
I was born in Cleggan and live locally working in IT from home remotely. As a sitting councillor from 2014 to 2019, I helped fund local community groups and implemented road safety measured around several schools. I also campaigned for the improved N59 at Maam Cross.
I have since been actively involved with local community groups, as well as helping to run the West Connemara Sports and Leisure centre in Clifden. I have been affected just as directly in housing as others and count as one of the many rural hidden homeless in this country.
I am passionate about the community and fervently believe that people have a right to live, work and raise a family in the community they grew up without being displaced through economic inequality.
