Sean Maher

Sean Maher lives in Rock Lane, Crinkle, Birr. He was educated in the Brother’s National Presentation School and St Brendan’s Community School. He served as County Councillor between 2016 to 2019 for the Birr Municipal District and was a member of the Laois/Offaly Education Training Board including Kilcormac and Birr secondary schools. A member of SIPTU, Sean served as a Shop-Steward for twelve years, successfully representing and negotiating for better pay and working conditions for members. He played soccer for his local clubs in Birr, coaching several teams during his career and is a strong advocate for participation in sport for all gender’s. Sean is passionate and determined to serve the people of South/West Offaly.
