Noel lives in Mountnugent with his wife and five children. Noel runs his own business ‘Connell Aluminium’, which he established in 1981 and he also partners in Cavan Glass by Design which was formed in 2012. Passionate about his community, Noel has been involved in a number of charitable projects locally mainly the Moylagh JFK 50 Mile Challenge along with other initiatives raising much needed funds for cancer research and other worthy causes. He was co-opted onto Cavan County Council in 2014 and went to top the poll in the Ballyjamesduff Municipal Area in May that year. In his role as a county councillor, Noel has been vocal and active on a number of important issues. Noel has worked hard to highlight and tackle head on the rise in drug related crime and rural criminality. He has been a solid voice for those unable to access housing and he has ensured the people of the Ballyjamesduff electoral area have been well represented.
