Mick Nugent, 48, from the Hollyhill area, is the Sinn Féin Group Leader on Cork City Council. He also serves on Sinn Féin’s leadership body, the Ard Chomhairle. Mick is a board member of Shine a Light Suicide and Mental Health Awareness, Dance Cork Firkin Crane and Gaelscoil Pheig Sayers. He is also PRO of St. Vincents Hurling and Football Club. Mick provides a strong voice for communities across the Northside, a supporter of sports clubs, community and resident groups, he works closely with such groups to secure funding and facilities. Mick is a tireless campaigner for ramping-up the delivery of social and affordable homes. He is passionate about community work, supporting initiatives promoting physical and mental health, the Irish language, equality and justice for all.
