Standing up for Ireland

Michael Gallagher
Meath County Council
Kells
I live in Drumconrath with my wife Sheila. We have two grown up children and two grandchildren. I’m a County Councillor for the Kells area, first elected in 2004. I am a longstanding activist in the local community, a founding member of the Drumconrath Tidy Towns committee and the chairperson of the Mens Shed. I’m also a Committee Member and former Chairperson of Drumconrath GFC. I have campaigned for better local roads and increased housing delivery and have opposed the council’s plan to restrict planning permission. I have fought for the retention of services in Navan Hospital, Broadband connection for areas, and opposed the Overhead Pylon scheme. I’ve utilised funds from the Council to fund worthwhile community projects across North Meath.
