I have lived and reared, with my husband Aidan, our children in the West of Ireland since 1998, and we now have our business and home in Islandeady. Most of my career was as a healthcare support worker and I cared for my father who suffered from Alzheimer’s. Volunteering locally with Meals and Wheels and our local Wednesday Get-together group, I believe, promotes the economic and social wellbeing of the people in our community. I absolutely understand the importance of the 250+ community groups in the Castlebar electoral area. Without our community activists, so many services and projects would never happen. For this reason all community Councils and Associations will have my utmost support and I will advocate on their behalf.
