My wife Mary and I have three children, we live and work in Galway City. We spent our early years as part of the Irish diaspora in Boston, returning home to raise our family in Galway. A painter by trade, I am a proud and active trade unionist for 30 years. I’m a SIPTU Official, representing workers across Galway and have been elected the president of the Galway Council of Trade Unions. I returned to education as an adult to earn a BA in Legal Education. I’m also a Peace Commissioner and I hold the ICTU seat on the Galway City Housing Committee. I want to serve as your Councillor so that I can help bring about needed change to our local government.
