Her commitment to serving in multiple capacities showcases her commitment to making a positive impact on those around her. She is also dedicated to community and charity events in her local area and is involved in Buionn Ceoil Mullachdubh. She believes the tourism potential of west Donegal to be great and sees it as a job creator that will help keep young people in the area and stop their forced migration for work. She is a strong advocate for the creation of local employment opportunities.
