Karen Gallagher hails from Moorehall. She has lived in Westport for 21 years where she and her husband Dave, a native of the Quay Westport, are raising their five children. As well as working full-time in the Abbvie pharmaceutical company, Karen is an avid GAA supporter and is involved in Westport Camogie and LGFA where she coaches underage teams. As a parent, Karen believes that there are not enough facilities for children and young people in the local area. She is committed to campaigning for playground facilities as well as more after-school childcare and community resources. Karen is also dedicated to helping establish a United Ireland where all citizens are treated fairly and equally, and where we all have better access to education, health care and public services.
