I have been living in Westmeath for the past 26 years. I worked in construction most of my life, but have since retrained as a health care worker. I have enjoyed working in this role over the past 10 years in the Westmeath-Longford area. In my role I meet with various local organisations and am aware of the challenges facing people in our community. In my current role as a young adult support worker with IWA, I have gained good understanding of the struggles faced by young people. I believe that with positive change we can support our towns, villages and rural areas to provide a better future for our younger generation.
