I live in Larchville with my wife, Mary Pat and have been a proud Sinn Féin councillor for Waterford since 2011. My parents are from Ballygunner and The Folly. A lifelong republican, community is everything to me. I’m a strong campaigner against drug dealing and crime. I also campaign for Human rights. Being jailed by Israeli soldiers when taking aid to Gaza only strengthened my determination. Working closely with community groups, I’ve huge regard for volunteers. As Larchville and Lisduggan Residents Association Vice-Chair, bringing home the Pride of Place All Ireland Award 2023 was a great honour. My role as Chair of the council Committee for the Environment has helped me support initiatives on climate action and pollination programmes.
