Standing up for Ireland

Drogheda Urban
Born and raised in Congress Avenue, I now live in Ballymakenny with my husband Derek and our two sons, aged 7 and 11. Government policies have forced me back into the workforce after being a homemaker for 6 years. I am a healthcare assistant and I have worked with the elderly and people with intellectual disabilities.
I am passionate about history and culture and am currently on the board of the Old Drogheda Society, the Drogheda Museum and Cultural Services which oversees the Community Employment Programme. I believe that Drogheda has huge tourism potential and would like to see that developed sooner rather than later.
We need more amenities and investment in local parks on both sides of the river which should include safer cycle lanes throughout the town.
