I was born and reared in Finglas and after many years living, working and rearing my family abroad, I returned to Ireland and was happy to make Ashbourne home. With extensive experience working in administration and social services – in Germany, New Zealand and the United States – I have seen first- hand how local government can help build vibrant communities through active citizen engagement. I have a keen interest in community development and working to improve our local area. As Constituency Manager for Darren O’Rourke TD and having been co-opted to his council seat following his Dáil election, I gained valuable knowledge of dealing with important local issues and concerns. I will take this experience with me into my new role as your local Sinn Féin councillor.
