Standing up for Ireland

Athy
I have lived in Kildare for over 40 years after my father retired home from the UK. My parents were community workers, so I have a keen interest in this area. I have 2 children and my husband Anthony is a local man from Athy. I was a home carer for 17 years and during this time I worked with Parents, Access and Sports Groups, advocating and increasing awareness for people with disabilities. This resulted in a nomination for Kildare Person of the Year award. Since then, I have worked in the Healthcare sector. I currently work as the Activities Coordinator in Cloverlodge Nursing Home, Athy. I believe, with the right motivation and investment, Athy and surrounds has the potential to become an even better place to live and work.
