I have been living in Tullyallen for over 5 years. I am married with three children. Having retired from boxing, I work as a guest speaker and therapist in the area of mental health and addiction and am a regular guest speaker at schools, sports clubs and other organisations. Having volunteered with the Red Door Addiction Treatment Centre I am now doing my work placement there for my BSc (Hons) in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. I also work with the boxers and footballers in Tredagh Boxing Club and Glenn Emmets in Tullyallen. I believe that sports can play an important role in positive mental health as well as organisations such as Men’s and Women’s Sheds. I will be a strong voice in our community and believe I can make a difference.
