I am 33 years old and live in West Waterford with my wife, Daphne, and our young son Arthur Óg. I grew up in Tallow and went to secondary school in Lismore. I come from a family with a long tradition of political activism in this area. I am a new voice in local politics. My aim is to offer strong and progressive representation for West Waterford - from Cappoquin to Ballyduff, and Knockanore to Ballymacarbry. I am involved in business and sports locally. I recognise the difficulties faced by small local enterprises — across agriculture, retail, manufacturing, services and other sectors. SMEs are the backbone of our local economies and must be supported and nurtured. I also believe sport organisations play a crucial role in society, especially for young people.
