I am a proud Castlebar woman and live in Manulla on our family farm with my husband Sean and our children. Nursing is my profession, but like many people I have become disillusioned by our broken healthcare system. Accessing hospital services is getting harder with waiting lists, the trolley crisis and daily overcrowding, all which impacts greatly on the experience of patients and staff. As an elected representative to local fora, including the Housing SPC and South-West Mayo Development company, I work hard to bring the concerns of the community to the fore. I am standing in the 2024 local elections because I believe we need a change. I will be a new voice with a fresh perspective on local issues.
