Standing up for Ireland

Dermot Connolly
Galway County Council
Ballinasloe
I live in Glennavaddogue, Aughrim with my wife and family on our family farm. I’m a life-long republican and have served the people of Ballinasloe & surrounding districts as a Sinn Féin councillor for the last 15 years. I’m a member of the Galway County Council Corporate Policy Group and Cathaoirleach of the Community & Culture Development Strategic Policy Committee. I’ve also been involved in Gaelic Games for many years as an administrator, coach and referee. Galway County Council has suffered from systemic understaffing and underfunding by €180 million. I will continue to stand with the people in demanding an end to the degeneration of Rural Ireland and campaign to ensure we have viable rural communities.
