Hailing from Corofin, I have lived and worked in East Galway nearly all my life. A proud Early Years Educator, I worked in Kilkerrin Community Playschool for over 15 years. During this period, I represented playschools on the Galway Childcare Committee Board, was elected National Chairperson of SIPTU Early Years Union and given the privilege to sit on the Early Years Pay-talks for the past four years. I am currently a SIPTU Trade Union official fighting for better pay and conditions for workers in caring and health roles. I sit on the Galway Trades Council and the ICTU Womens’ Committee. I want to serve as your local councillor to bring about needed change in our local government.
