Standing up for Ireland
David Augusta
Dublin City Council
Inner City South West
I’m originally from Crumlin but became an Irish emigrant in London where I worked with young students and homeless people for 17 years. I am married with three children.
I returned to Dublin in 2007, where, as a qualified counsellor, I now work in a high support unit for young people presenting with severe mental health problems.
My work and life helped me appreciate how the issues around poverty, disadvantage, mental health and homelessness are interlinked. I have always valued working for and advocating on behalf of the more disadvantaged in our community and for the community at large. I would be privileged to be able to so as City Councillor.
I am committed to improving local services, tackle the housing crisis and making our communities safer, welcoming places to live and work in.
