Standing up for Ireland

Daithí Doolan
Dublin City Council
Ballyfermot/Drimnagh
Your councillor since 2014, I hope to continue working to improve local services and make our communities safer, welcoming places to live and work in. As a member of the Council’s Housing Committee I’ve been an advocate for the homeless and for social and affordable housing. As an active trade unionist for 25 years, I’m involved in many campaigns including Dublin’s fire fighters’ struggle for better pay and conditions. I’m also working to bring the bin service BACK into public ownership. I’m a member of Drugs Taskforce, Bluebell Community Council, local policing forum, and the boards of Familibase and Ballyfermot Partnership. Originally from Cork, I’ve lived in Dublin since 1992 and myself, Bridget and our four children live in Drimnagh. I’m a key worker in a community based drug rehabilitation project.
