Clare O’Callaghan works and lives in West Cork with her husband and four children. She is a Support Co-ordinator by profession and works with older people providing support in the community. Family is very important to Clare who believes that workers and families in West Cork deserve better services and facilities, particularly in rural and coastal communities. Clare’s priorities include properly resourced school transport and facilities for young people, as well as better community healthcare including more GPs, out of hours doctors and resources for Bantry hospital. As a parent and worker living in a rural community, Clare understands the challenges and has the real-life experience and passion to push for the change that is so badly needed.
