Standing up for Ireland

Claire Murray
Offaly County Council
Edenderry
My husband Peter and I moved from Dublin to Offaly over 20 years ago, making our home in Rhode, where we are happily raising our two boys. I have always been politically active and I presently work as a regional manager for Sinn Féin in Leinster. I believe passionately in community empowerment and have campaigned on a wide range of social, economic, environmental and national issues. The lack of resources allocated to housing, education and health and the worsening cost of living crisis is why political change is needed and councillors must prioritise building a more equitable society. Successive governments have neglected the people of the Midlands. I believe that a strong Sinn Féin council team in Offaly will help to rebuild vibrant communities across the region.
