I am a native of the Loughglynn/Lisacul area. I have been a Sinn Féin community activist for many years, with experience in numerous election campaigns. I worked with the Brothers of Charity services in Castlerea as a Social Care leader for over thirty years. I have a Diploma in social care from Galway Institute of Technology. I am currently a support worker with STEPIN, helping people with intellectual disabilities. I believe strongly that adequate and timely services should be provided to older people and people with disabilities, in their communities, when they need them. This is an issue I’m passionate about. I am a member of the IFA and also have interests in traditional rural pursuits. I hold a number of positions in the local and regional Game Protection Association.
