I have lived in Brownstown with my husband, Councillor Jim Griffin, for over 30 years. We have three grownup daughters and twin grandsons. I work as a Special Needs Assistant at a local primary school. I also serve as a board member of Waterford Disability Network. My parents are Ted and Renee Power (née Hegarty). My mother comes from the Newtown area of Passage East, and my father had a milk round in the Cheekpoint/Passage East/Woodstown area for many years. I have been an active member of Sinn Féin for over 10 years, canvassing and campaigning for a fair and just society for all. With your support, I am ready to be a strong voice and proactive member of Waterford City Council.
