Standing up for Ireland
Aoife Kindlon
Monaghan County Council
Carrickmacross-Castleblayney
Aoife, 35, from a well-known family and is the daughter of Seán & Joan Kindlon, one of 15 children. I grew up in Coolderry, Magheracloone and I remain rooted in my local community. I attended Scoil Bhríde National School, Inver College and Monaghan institute.
As a healthcare assistant, I have worked in Castleross Nursing Home for 15 years and am currently employed at the Medical Rehabilitation Clinic at Louth County Hospital, I know, first hand, the failures of successive governments to adequately deliver services for rural communities.
I am a very family orientated person, I enjoy spending time with them and my partner Enda.
I am aware of the many challenges local families in rural south Monaghan face. I will ensure that the voice of rural communities is heard at every level of decision making in your local council. I will work closely with all groups, organisations, businesses and people to ensure that the rural area has a future and is better for us all.
