Standing up for Ireland

Antóin Watters
Louth County Council
Dundalk-Carlingford
I live in Riverstown with my wife, Fionnghuala, and our two children. I am heavily involved in Cooley Kickhams GFC as the Irish Language Officer and Juvenile Treasurer. I also help coach underage teams. A councillor since 2016, I have dealt with many issues from planning, road safety, traffic calming, footpaths, speed limits/reviews, coastal protection, active travel, tourism and illegal dumping. Lately we have had the problem of flooding its consequences. I’m an outspoken advocate for the people of the Cooley Peninsula/North Louth and believe a community is always strongest when it pulls together. I always encourage and support community led initiatives. A lot has been achieved but there is more work to be done and I am asking you to put your trust in me once again.
