I moved to Ballina back in 1993, but it has always felt like my second home as my mother is from the town and I would spend a lot of summers here with my Grandparents. 15 years married to Sharon (Molloy) who is from Deerpark in Crossmolina. After leaving St. Muredach’s College, I got involved in The Ballina Salmon Festival where I volunteered as a steward. I became a Master of Ceremonies for events and then a Director. I assist in coaching local girls’ soccer and Gaelic teams. I was involved in setting up the local community Radio station B.C.R. FM and even had my own show for a while. I want to see and help the town and surrounding areas grow and develop for businesses and with amenities for both young, old, and disabled.
