Suspect device closes Ballyfermot Garda Station – Cllr Daithí Doolan

Ballyfermot Garda Station has been closed to the public due to a suspect device being brought in by a member of the public.

Cllr Doolan said:

“I hope everyone is safe and the defence forces are able to make the device safe without any injuries.

“This is a very serious development and puts a whole community at serious risk. This is totally unacceptable. And those involved need to be stopped.

“Only for the member of the public seeing the device and bringing it to the Garda Station, the situation could be a lot worse.

“I would encourage anyone with any information to please contact the Gardaí to ensure those behind the incident can be arrested and face justice.”
