Support Sinn Féin’s bill to ban zero hour contracts – Dolan

Sinn Féin MLA Jemma Dolan has urged people to get behind her bill to ban zero hour contracts in the north.

Speaking ahead of the consultation deadline, the party spokesperson on Workers’ Rights said:

“This bill is about providing fairness and certainty to workers to their families.

“If passed, it will ensure that workers are given guarantees over their minimum and maximum working hours each week.

“So far, more than 400 people have filled in our consultation and made their views known about the damaging impacts of Zero Hours Contracts.

“The consultation closes on Sunday and I would urge people to take part.”
