Sinn Féin request Dáil reconvenes to discuss hostilities in Gaza and Israel

Sinn Féin Chief Whip Pádraig Mac Lochlainn TD has written to the Ceann Comhairle and Dáil Business Committee to request that the Dáil reconvenes as soon as possible for an urgent discussion about hostilities in Gaza and Israel.

Teachta Mac Lochlainn said:

“I have written to the Ceann Comhairle and Dáil Business Committee requesting that the Dáil reconvenes as soon as possible for an urgent discussion. It is clear that decisive international intervention is needed in Palestine.

“There must be an urgent end to hostilities in Gaza and Israel.  Sinn Féin are calling for decisive international intervention to bring about a lasting and just solution to the Palestinian question.

“It is appropriate that the Dáil would convene at the earliest opportunity to discuss the role that Ireland can play to demonstrate leadership and work with the international community towards securing peace.”
