Sinn Féin President Mary Lou McDonald TD extends sympathies on the death of Mary O’Rourke

Sinn Féin Sinn Féin President Mary Lou McDonald TD has extended her condolences on the passing of Mary O’Rourke.

Teachta McDonald said:

“It is with great sadness that I have learnt of the death of Mary O’Rourke. I liked her very much.

“Much loved for her colourful turn of phrase, Mary was a great charachter who lit up any room she graced.

“She was a woman who blazed a trail in a male dominated political landscape, and was well able to hold her own.

“I want to extend my deepest condolences to her family, wide circle of friends and her party colleagues in Fianna Fáil.

“Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.”
