‘Serious questions’ over how ramming incidents unfolded overnight in Dublin City Centre – Pa Daly TD and Louise O’Reilly TD

Sinn Féin spokesperson on Justice, Pa Daly TD, and spokesperson on Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Louise O’Reilly TD, have said that questions must be answered following a number of ramming incidents in Dublin city overnight.

The incidents happened at the gates at Leinster House, Government Buildings, the Customs House and Áras an Uachtaráin.

Teachta Daly said:

“Firstly, I am glad that it appears nobody has been hurt or injured in these ramming incidents. We note that one person has been detained in connection with the incidents, which appear to be isolated in nature.

“However this attack is one issue that we will raise in a forthcoming meeting with Senior Gardaí.”

Teachta O’Reilly said:

“It’s hard to understand how someone was able to carry out these attacks in several locations in this manner.

“We will be looking to the Gardaí to provide us with information as to how this could have unfolded and how someone was able to travel to three separate locations in Dublin City before being apprehended.”
