Liam Mackle is a married father of two adult children originally from the Taghnevan Estate in Lurgan. A lifelong republican and Gael he played football at underage level for Clan Na Gael.
He is a graduate of both QUB in History and UUJ in Law and has been employed as the Advice Manager at the Children’s Law Centre for the past twenty-one years and is a strong advocate for children. Prior to that he was employed with Citizen’s Advice and Gingerbread, the lone parent charity with a track record of fighting for families.
He has represented the people of Lurgan on Craiga– von Council and on ABC Council since 2011 and is currently the Sinn Fein Party Group Leader. Liam currently lives
in Belvedere Manor with his family where he is a Director of the Residents Management Company, he is also on the Management Board of Family Mediation NI and ICBAN.
