‘New road plan can make our communities safer’ – Boylan

Sinn Féin MLA Cathal Boylan has welcomed infrastructure minister John O’Dowd’s new road safety strategy.

The party’s infrastructure spokesperson said:

“I welcome infrastructure minister John O’Dowd’s new road safety plan which focuses on making our roads safer for users and pedestrians alike.

“Too often, we witness devastating scenes on our roads, with many people injured and sadly many also losing their life. Behind each person killed is a devastated family left grieving for the loss of a loved one.

“We all have a duty to take care and be vigilant to make our roads a safer place to drive and walk on.

“It is my hope that this plan can in time reduce road fatalities and make our communities safer.”
