Sinn Féin MLA Philip McGuigan has welcomed a report from the Economic and Social Research Institute which looks at a new economic model for the north.
The North Antrim MLA said:
“I welcome this new report from the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) examining a new economic model for the north, allowing us to better understand how our economy works.
“This will help to ensure the continued growth of our thriving all-island economy, with north-south trade levels at a record high.
“Our unique dual market access makes the north an attractive place to invest and do business in, and it’s vital we capitalise on every opportunity to maximise this huge benefit, creating more jobs and growing our economy.
“ESRI’s report will ultimately ensure we are better informed about our economy, enabling us to prepare for future economic and policy changes.”
