Murphy ready to continue work of building stronger, fairer economy

Sinn Féin MLA Conor Murphy has said he is looking forward to returning to work today following a period of absence on the advice of his doctor and is ready to continue the work of building a stronger, fairer economy.

Conor Murphy said:

“I am really looking forward to returning to work today following a period of rest and medical tests on the advice of my doctor.

“Firstly I want to thank my doctors and health service staff for all of their help, assurance and advice in recent weeks, and everyone who kindly wished me well.

“I also want to thank Deirdre Hargey who stepped in as Economy Minister in my absence at very short notice and who seamlessly continued on the work of delivering on our vision for the economy.

“I’m excited to get back to work on my plan for strengthening our economy, reforming Invest NI, prioritising regional balance and delivering more good-quality jobs and opportunities.

“Working together with all parties in the Executive, I am committed to building a stronger, fairer economy and a brighter, better future for all.”
