Money to tackle educational underachievement will help most disadvantaged – Sheehan

Sinn Féin MLA Pat Sheehan has welcomed news that the Irish Government will provide €24m to tackle educational underachievement in the north.

The party’s education spokesperson said:

“Today’s announcement from the Irish Government will provide extra support to the most disadvantaged children and young people in society.

“This will provide much needed assistance to tackle underachievement. This must be a top priority for the new education minister.

“Sinn Féin will continue working to improve the lives of our most disadvantaged children and ensure young people have the best start in life.”
