Sinn Féin MLA Declan McAleer has sent best wishes to everyone taking part and visiting this year’s Balmoral Show.

The vice-chair of the agriculture committee said:

“Thousands of people from across the island will visit the north and take part in the Balmoral Show this week.

“This is one of the biggest and most vibrant agricultural shows in Ireland and is an opportunity to showcase all that is good about our farming and rural communities.

“Our agricultural community has much to celebrate, particularly with the recent awarding of all-Ireland protected status for high-quality beef.

“Working together, we can help farming to thrive and deliver first-class public services, housing, high-speed broadband and good infrastructure for people living in rural areas.

“I want to wish everyone taking part an enjoyable and successful Balmoral Show.”
