Mason welcomes childcare scheme clarity

Sinn Féin MLA Cathy Mason has welcomed clarity on the roll out of the childcare scheme.

The party’s spokesperson on childcare and early years said:

“The clarity provided by the Department on the standardisation of 22.5 hours per week is welcomed.

“The Department must continue to communicate with providers and parents to aid in delivering additional free hours to help struggling families make ends meet.

“I am determined to keep working with all parties to reduce bills for parents, financially support providers, and ensure childcare services are accessible for all.”
