Hughes welcomes A1 safety upgrade progression 

Sinn Féin’s Dáire Hughes has welcomed the Infrastructure Minister’s plan to move ahead with safety upgrades to the A1 Newry Bypass.

Dáire Hughes said:

“I welcome the Infrastructure Minister’s announcement that safety upgrades to the A1 Newry Bypass will soon commence.

“The A1 is one of the most dangerous roads on our island and these upgrades will help to save lives, as well as strengthening the growing needs of all-island business, retail and tourism.

“I will continue working hard to build a better future for everyone who lives in Newry and Armagh.”
