‘Hourly rail service will be a game changer for all-island travel’ – Boylan

Sinn Féin MLA Cathal Boylan has welcomed the commencement of an hourly train service between Dublin and Belfast as a game changer for all-island travel.

Speaking on this development, the Newry and Armagh MLA said:

“I welcome the commencement of an hourly train service between Dublin and Belfast which will begin today.

“This will be a real game-changer for all-island travel helping to drive jobs and growth, stimulate development and regeneration and boost access to services and education.

“This more frequent service will also help with our goal to reach net zero and to encourage more people to use public transport.

“I’ll continue to work with the infrastructure minister and the other parties to improve rail connectivity across our island, helping to realise the vision of the All-Island Rail Review.”
