Health minister must ensure effective and efficient roll-out of vaccine – Gildernew

Sinn Féin MLA and health spokesperson Colm Gildernew has said the health minister must ensure effective and efficient roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Colm Gildernew said:

“Given the critical importance of the roll-out of the vaccine in order to protect the most vulnerable and frontline workers, any delay is very concerning.

“The Health Minister needs to ensure the most effective and efficient roll-out of the vaccine in order to protect as many people as possible and, alongside other public health measures, reduce pressure on the health service and its workers.

“Urgent clarity is needed from the health minister on what delays are happening and what is being done to address them.”
