“Health, Housing & Cost of Living Crises not the Ireland that was imagined”  –  MEP MacManus addresses Tuam Easter Commemoration

Sinn Féin MEP Chris MacManus addressed attendees at the Tuam Commemoration on Easter Monday. The Midlands Northwest MEP was joined by Deborah Reynolds and Stiofán de Lundres Ó Dálaigh, both of whom are candidates in the Tuam Local election Area in June.

Speaking at the event MacManus said “We have achieved considerable positive change across this island since 1916, however I believe we as a people are at a crossroads. Do we stick with the same old failed policies of the traditional government parties or do we vote for change?”

MacManus believes that people deserve better than want the current government has delivered. “Health, Housing and Cost of Living Crises are not part of the Ireland that was imagined by our patriots who made the ultimate sacrifice for Ireland’s freedom. We deserve better than that. Sinn Féin wants to be in government. We want to lead government. A government that transforms our health service. A government that builds homes. A government that puts Irish reunification at the heart of its agenda. That is our ambition.” ENDS
