Hazzard welcomes St Mary’s Barr PS investment

Sinn Féin MP Chris Hazzard has welcomed the announcement from the Education Minister that St Mary’s Primary School (Barr) will be included in a new major extension and refurbishment programme.

The South Down MP said:

“It’s fantastic news that St Mary’s Primary School (Barr) will receive investment from the Education Department to upgrade school facilities.

“This will include a new single-storey building, an outdoor covered play area, as well as hard and soft play areas, landscaping, cycle stands and fencing.

“Sinn Féin have been pushing hard to see this delivered for some time. It will be transformational for staff, pupils and future generations of children allowing them be taught in first-class facilities.”
