Hazzard condemns reckless Rathfriland shooting

Sinn Féin MP Chris Hazzard has condemned a shooting in Rathfriland on Monday night.

The South Down MP said:

“I unreservedly condemn the firing of shots through the window of a home in Rathfriland on Monday night.

“This was a reckless attack which had the potential to claim a number of lives and thankfully there were no serious injuries.

“There is no place for guns on our streets and those responsible should stop now.

“Anyone with information on this attack should bring it forward to the police.”
