Flynn welcomes focus on improving health outcomes

Sinn Féin MLA Órlaithí Flynn has welcomed the health minister’s focus on improving health outcomes in parts of Belfast.

Speaking after the announcement of the ‘Live Better’ areas, the West Belfast MLA said:

“I welcome today’s announcement that parts of the Falls and Shankill are included in the initial phase of the ‘Live Better’ programme.

“This will help to improve health outcomes for people in the Falls and Shankill and lay the foundations for living a healthier, happier life.

“Everyone, no matter where they live, must have an equal opportunity to grow up, live and work in good health.

“Sinn Féin have long championed fair access to healthcare for those on lower incomes and in working class areas.

“I’ll continue working to improve access to healthcare in west Belfast, increase early intervention and to ensure our communities are not left behind.”
