Flynn backs families bereaved by drug deaths and suicide call for enhanced services

Sinn Féin MLA Órlaithí Flynn has backed calls for crisis and rehabilitation services for those bereaved through drug deaths and suicide.

Speaking after joining families for a vigil at Stormont, the West Belfast MLA said:

“Drug deaths continue to have a devastating impact on communities and families, and they need proper support.

“Sinn Féin are calling on the Department of Health to set out how it will provide better services for the people and families impacted by this.

“I joined families who have lost loved ones at Stormont on Monday for a powerful candlelit vigil to remember those who died through drug deaths or suicide.

“The Department of Health needs to put a plan in place to support these families as soon as possible.”
